I often say to clients "the foods we eat play an important role in our health, but they are just one ingredient in the recipe for a healthy, happy life". This sparked my desire to create that recipe, and it became the basis for my book.
The Simple Recipe For A Healthy, Balanced Life reveals the 7 ingredients you need to maintain balance and live a healthy life. I use an apple pie analogy to create a visual for the function of each ingredient. Beginning with the ingredients for the crust (whole foods diet, exercise, sleep, stress reduction, and self-care), which represents the foundation of health, then adding in the apples (healthy relationships), which represent the substance of your life, and completing the pie with the spices (happiness, joy, and purpose), which add sweetness to your life. This back-to-basics, easy-to-follow simple recipe is designed to help you take control of your health, and ultimately your life.
